After a busy day in the office - and I mean BUSY - with the iPod Nano giveaway being a hot topic, with little time to prepare - I am swamped. Well - following that I headed to the Simple Church meeting. It was another good session and I am going to miss getting together with this group, and the Men's Meeting for the next couple weeks. Not sure if I will keep reading - or just put it on hold with all the Christmas plans and activities.
Either way - I am happy with the way work is going. The Cottage agreed to keep PIM on hand for a few hours a month to load inventory and manage the online store. I really recommend they begin doing some internet marketing - but I don't know how large their budget is... We'll see how successful they are with WOM and then think about going ahead soon.

Michael Hudson and I met today to continue refining the plans and objectives of BIG. The site is really falling into place, and I think the "holders" I am setting up will handle all the content he plans on publishing. In the short term we are going to launch a iPod Nano Giveaway this Friday. This contest will roll on and happen each month! I think it will be a step in the right direction for viral and referral marketing of the BIG Network.

Today marked a special occasion in Poor Irishman history - and my personal view of military funerals. Catherine Roberts, Founder of Quilts of Valor - a client of mine - invited Jessica and I to attend a special QOVF Presentation Ceremony in Dover. The Air Force Base is known around the world for - among other accomplishments - being the one facility where all military dead are processed before being sent home for final rest... They also assist in major civilian operations.
QOVF has always awarded quilts to injured servicemen and women who need healing and recovery. The quilts aid in the process and show the service member the love, support, and thanks of a grateful nation. Today the honor was given to men and women who daily take the toll of death and suffering "home with them each night because there is no time to cry on the job." As one of the wing commanders leading the ceremony pointed out.
Catherine's heart went out to the people who face this dark, sad, and also dignified side of war. And knew they should be honored, and their spirits healed with a QOVF. I was honored to attend.

Well not officially - see Dictionary.com for the real meaning!
But today was the Wesley Church Cantata - and it was incredible. Jessica had been working with the Choir for several months. Planning, preparing, and practicing for this day. Two performances - one at the 9 AM Service, and another at the 11 AM. She did an incredible job! I think everyone was blown away at the talent, range, and ability of our small choir.
I was very proud of Jessica too - for teaching them those difficult pieces, and for her presence while conducting! She looks like a natural up there - bopping around, and waving her hands. I really think she should maintain some place in music her entire life. She certainly has a gift, and it brings her so much joy. Even if the only thing I can offer is to operate the CD Player like I did to assist with the cantata! Again, Merry Christmas to everyone!!
