Otherland by Tad Williams
I completely love this series of novels. If you have ever watched Matrix, and knew that was the world in which you should be living. If you ever read anything by Neal Stephenson, Phillip K Dick, or Ray Bradbury - and loved those authors - then this series is for you.
Otherland focuses on a small group of refugees stranded in the virtual reality space of Otherland. The entire world has taken a giant leap ahead of where we are online today. I used to read a lot of Science Fiction so I would probably enjoy these books. There's a lot of potential in the virtual worlds taking shape in the online community, such as Second Life. Many of the largest commercial entreprises are making their presense known there. Thanks for helping us keep our eye on them.
