What's The Difference?

By Andrew Jackson Be First to Comment!

Internet Marketing is about one thing … well … One thing I am going to focus on at this particular moment!  That one thing is the act of introducing an idea to a target audience, and persuading them to take action - over a virtual, and electronic medium - the Net.

After a year in business I have started, ended, consolidated, and rebuilt several email marketing lists.  On those lists there are a collection of friends, associates, supporters, customers, regular clients, and … even enemies.  Some of these folks I may only contact once or twice a month - but - the goal is the same.  Get the target to take the action I am requesting.  Click Here… Download This… Buy That… Send This to Friends…

There are so many actions you can ask Clients and List Members to take.  The problem arises when you forget the primary purpose of your email marketing efforts.  Think for a moment about the email messages you send from GMail, Yahoo!, MSN Mail, Outlook, Eudora, or any other email client.  Those messages are sent as a One-to-One communication from your heart to the heart and mind of another person.

DId you catch that?  "a One-to-One communication from your heart to the heart and mind of another person"  That's the difference between the mass broadcast emails sent for your promotions - and the emails sent to your true friends and family.  For example - I have one client who opens anything, and everything I send to him.  It would not matter if the message were a periodic update of my network connection speed, or an offer for a website feature he currently lacks.  The result is the same - that one-to-one connection has been solidified.  He opens the emails!

To learn how to get ALL of your clients, and list subscribers to read your messages as a one-to-one communication from your desk to theirs - give Poor Irishman Internet Marketing a call for a free consultation.
